Hardware Encryption

CodySafe SC protects all your data by the means of hardware encryption. The crypto-processor encodes every bit of stored information with AES-256 bit algorithm, which grants an exceptional protection to your files.

The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is an encryption algorithm adopted by the U.S. government. There are three modes of its implementation with key sizes of 128, 192 and 256 bits. The AES requires 10 rounds for 128-bit keys, 12 and 14 rounds for 192-bit and 256-bit keys respectively.

CodySafe Solid Crypto employs FIPS 140-2 compliant 256-bit AES algorithm, implemented within its processor. All data transferred to the memory chip passes through the encryption process within the controller. All interfaces, commands and communication between CodySafe application, crypto-processor and the memory chip are secured. The software is encrypted itself, and therefore it is protected from debugging and tampering.
